I just realized I scheduled an adult shoot for Easter. That is really wrong on so many levels. I didn't even realize it because I no longer celebrate holidays.

As a formerly devout catholic and now studying buddhist, I've come to realize that if you have love in your heart and compassion towards others, that's all that matters. So, if you have to work on a holiday it's not the end of the world. Although it is a little weird once you realize it. I once went out drinking with some buddies on Good Friday and then we remembered what day it was. Oh well, life happens.

Actually I just scheduled a shoot for Sunday also Vicki - and I never would have even known it was Easter unless I had read this post first. I have no family in So Cal - so nobody to really celebrate holidays with. But maybe I'll bake a ham and hide some eggs and after some great fucking the models and I can have an easter egg hunt and a nice meal. That's what holidays are about anyway. You're more than welcome to join us if you're shooting in So Cal but either way I wouldn't worry about. I've talked to Jesus a few times and he's cool with it.

Holidays are just about nostalgia for a lot of us...gathering with friends and family to enjoy the occasion, and perhaps even share some special memories of our pasts...or even some hideous ones...

But most holidays usually just mean a long(er) weekend for me...not that it's a problem, it comes with the territory...

Anyway...it's all about the kids enjoying the Easter-egg hunt IMO...and that's a damn good thing...

As for myself...I'm thinking about braised, or maybe even grilled, bunny rabbit Sunday night when I'm back at the house...

Because after all, that's what I do...

Non-bunny eaters may not want to read this...but...there was a place that I used to order product from, it was over a decade ago ...anyway, they had these incredible free-range raised rabbits....I really should see if they are still around...just picture Bugs all skinned and ready to go...and better yet they left the bones in for stock...I used to do a "hunters pie" made with rabbit, duck, and of course the stocks from each of them...it was basically an upscale "pot pie" that was covered with puff pastry...

This time of year reminds me that I don't eat, or even serve enough rabbit...and BTW.... back in the day, one of my first rabbit features was based on a simple Creole recipe for rabbit spaghetti...

And it was pretty damn good, as I recall...go figure... :wink:

And I'm getting hungry.

Lamb has always been a favorite of mine...cue up the violins...but I can remember my mother asking me what I wanted to eat for my B'day, and I would always say lamb chops... but then again, that was before I had ever tasted a veal chop with truffle oil....

But as for lamb, I'm not a mint jelly fan...

I prefer something like a demi-glace made with Cabernet and fresh herbs...

Rabbit and chicken? It depends on where the adorable little bunny grew up and was slaughtered for your dining pleasure...but the bottom line is that rabbit could pretty much be substituted for any poultry recipe...except for the fact that the results would be better with rabbit, IMO...

Chefmike, I'll never forget my horror when, at the tender age of five, I discovered that my granddad was not raising bunnies because they wuz coot an' wuvable. However, I quickly discovered how good rabbit can taste. I've found that a lighter hand with the same seasonings as lamb often works well with the little ewoks. :)

Back to Vicki's conundrum: think of it this way, Vicki: maybe you'll resurrect your lover and go at it twice. Roll away the stone, rise from the dead, oh yeah....

When I was in my teens I used to keep snakes as pets...King snakes,common constrictors,Sidewinders,Western diamondback Rattlers,Anacondas(both green and yellow) Ball pythons,Burmese and Reticulated as well...

The Retics,Burmese and anacondas were all well over 10 feet long and would consume multiple lop rabbits each feeding.I used to have to psyche myself out each time I fed them,saying to myself,its ok dude dont feel bad for these cute fuzzy creatures,if I wasnt tossing them to their deaths,some other snake owner would.

That self psychology worked for a couple years but finally I sold all my snakes off primarily due to the guilt i would feel for feeding the bunnies off.
If I couldnt bring myself to feeding them to my snakes im surely not gonna look at that pic and think "A big ass baked potato and some herb garlic spread and I got myself some good eatin'!"

And what would the problem be about that? The way religion "paints" transexuals, I'm surprized that you care. I don't even believe in any religion. I haven't in many years, even before I became a TS. I just seems wrong to believe in something that makes you feel bad about yourself. It's all fearmongering and opression. You have to go every sunday for the rest of your life or you'll suffer? That sounds more like a threat to me than a way to save yourself.

If you would like my advice, I say it doesn't matter, esp. since you don't even celebrate holidays anymore. I say, don't feel bad, I've done all sorts of whacky sex things on sundays, holidays and everything!

LOL I dont let religion control my life but I do let it guide the decisions I make. Me talking about asking for forgiveness was in relation to her religion.
