i usually just let winamp cycle through my playlist, there's around 10,00 songs on it so there's some variety.

funny story, i dunno why i'm adding it into this post, maybe it's sorta relative. i was debatign upgrading my pc speakers last month, but ended up hooking up my pc to my surround sound. well, i got a visit from 5-0 sunday night. apparently they don't like it when the music is so loud that not only can you not hear yourself think, but you can't hear the doorbell either. *shrugs*

but anyways, the random song on winamp right now is 3ce- I know you, marry me

(http://www.roots-archives.com/release/1566)

Didn't have you pegged as a Dubhead Arianna. Does the ignorant religeous shit in reggae ever piss you off? I mean it's all music but believe me , some of those guys have some rather backward and bigoted ideas about sexuality. I worked a reggae musician/producer for years and it kinda clashed with ehem, the kinda girls I like to hang out with. I don't care now but a lot of my 'old crew' think I am going to hell for the life I live.

LOL....... I had a feeling that was coming.... I have no doubt it's the sort of song that has that type of following in certain club scenes. What's next, am I going to start listening to "I'm too sexy" by Right Said Fred? Even worse, the other day when somone started a thread asking for what your theme song was, I posted The Sound of Music in an effort to be funny. Uh oh...

The strange thing is, I actually became hooked on the Soulsaver Remix of Four to the Floor as a result of it being featured in the movie Layer Cake. Damn you, Layer Cake..... Mmmmmm, cake....

Is that the song playing when he meets Sienna Miller in the club? She is so fucking sexy in that movie, especially in the hotel scene.

A small portion of the song is featured as the repetitive beat they play when he's driving. You aren't kidding about Sienna Miller. I almost never like blondes, but damn did she look fucking spectacular during that movie. Very sexy.

To be honest with you Quinn, I think i have heard of that band but i certainly have no idea what that song is, never heard it. my comment was purely infantile and kinda ironic/funny in relation to my previous post about bigoted reggae music. Lucky guess eh?

I go through phases depending on my moods as I think we all do. I'm certainly not about to place The Brothers Johnson, funky "Stomp" in my vehicle's CD player, say, after leaving a wake for example. :)

I'll take what songs I like from the CDs I have on my hutch at the moment just to contribute ... though I love the '80s new wave sound, this impromptu list is obviously very eclectic:

"Everything That Touches You": The Association

"Until She Comes": The Psychedelic Furs

"State of the Nation": Industry

"It Was I": Skip and Flip

"Some Like It Hot": Power Station

"I'll Never Find Another You": The New Seekers

"Guess Things Happen That Way": Johnny Cash

"98.6": Keith

"Seconds": The Human League

"West Coast Poplock": Ronnie Hudson

"Softcore": Maurice and the Clichés

"The Straight Life": Bobby Goldsboro

A couple of others also(The Beatles,Tears for Fears,Echo and the Bunneymen,Spanky and our Gang, etc).

That's on my hutch at this moment. Weird collection, huh? That's just on my hutch.

Maybe I should straighten this CD mess out. :)

As someone who is a fan of the original Neil version, I had my doubts as well. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by the Dave Matthews version. You can find it on the 2003 "Central Park Concert" album -- or online through Bearshare.
