I realise there has already been a thread about Heroes but I was wondering how in peoples views, it compares with Lost.

What is your opinion on the two programmes and how they stand side by side, which one do you feel has the edge on all round excitement and creativity.
I myself have always been a huge fan of Lost but ever since Heroes started here in the UK (about a month ago) I find myself to be completely hooked and happen to think it is slightly better and more appealing than lost. There are a few reasons for this, mainly the range of characters, less discrepancies in the story lines and the slightly darker atmosphere achieved by characters such as Syler. There are also some good comedy factors like Hiro and his sidekick ……. who never fail to amuse me with there antics.
For me the outstanding character has to be Nicki (Ali Larter) not only is she a good actress who plays both sides of her role convincingly, she is completely stunning and in my own opinion is more beautiful than 99% of Supermodels and Box Office Movie Stars, I realise this might seem a far fetched statement but damn that girl is fine.

The reason I bothered asking this question is a lot of my friends and people I know do not watch Heroes as it is shown on the Sci Fi Channel over here and when I tell them about it, although they have never even bothered to actually sit down and watch it they always say things like there is no way it can be better than lost, which is pretty dumb if you ask me.

So to sum up, I am interested in a few opinions from people who have sampled both programmes and can give an informed judgement on what they feel is the superior show.

As I said I realise this is off topic, so thanks for any replies………..

Lost is lost on me; I've never gotten into it. Heroes is an excellent program, well-written, easy to follow yet its characters and plots have some very intriguing twists and turns.

Im hopelessly addicted to Lost.I have seen every single episode in order from start to present.

Its not confusing just full of major plot twists, but if you havent been keeping up from the start the startling revelation that Claire and Jack are related might not be that big a deal.

The other show ive never heard of.

Heroes all the way. I anticipate each and every Monday (or Friday, if I miss it on Monday) with tense anticipation. Lost never did that to me like Heroes has.

I have watched both shows and both are extremely over hyped.

Heroes cheap ripoff of x-men and lost is a serious version of gilligan's island.

I've never seen Heroes.

Lost is a stupid television show and I hate every single jackass character on the show (Well, except for crazy Mr. Echo).

That said, I have watched every single episode (seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and Season three downloaded)

:D OK that's good, it seems most people agree with me about Heroes being superior, so far that is.

Heroes cheap ripoff of x-men

I totally disagree, firstly X - Men is much more family orientated and secondly the story lines are completely different, the only thing they actually have in common is the Super Powers thing.

BTW, no offence but are you dyslectic Legend ?, it's just that your sentences never seem to make any sense. :?

:) It seems to me you have what is known as a Love/Hate relationship with the show.

Seriously though you should check out Heroes, it's very good.

 Thanks I will.

Look this is how it is we are now in the year 2007 people have been making Films and Television Programs for over 50 years, just because a programs basic blue print is loosely similar to something that has been previously made does not make it any less watch able or enjoyable. If everybody went by your somewhat deluded thesis then there would be no need to ever make another War Film, Gory Horror or Comedy. It's clear that most things these days can be compared with something.
A quality program is a quality program, if you had the intelligence to perceive it in it’s own right, perhaps you too would even enjoy it.

PS... It seems I annoyed you with that dyslectic comment; maybe I’m wrong, perhaps you are just a retard.

It wasn’t a petty insult; you should go see some one to see if your brain is functioning right, even a loosely educated adult should not Write like a Pre School Retard.

Further more there are many concepts about the show that are very different to X - Men - for one the levels of violence and adult material, also the fact that the people are just evolving humans who thus gain special powers and not mutant creatures.

And lastly as I said the show is good, as many people seem to agree, it just seems it takes a special kind of DickHead like you to not except it for what it is and constantly compare it to X - Men

OK guys, let's all take a deep breath and calm down. First of all Heroes is obviously based on a small cult show called Mutant X. It is almost a carbon copy. Second, Heroes is also a cousin of Lost in a way.

Every show that comes out and is successful will have other networks steal their formats. Lost came out with the whole mysterious, multi-season plot and now Heroes is copying that. We see it over and over and over again. Seinfeld inspired Friends which in turn inspired countless other shows featuring 20 and 30 something ne'er do rights and their madcap lives. The Real World inspired Survivor whcih in turn inspired all the crapass reality tv we have now. It's no insult to say that Heroes is inspired by Mutant X and Lost becasue it takes the concept and adds value to it.

OK, now that we got that out of the way, Heroes is the superior show because it actually advances the story in a reasonable amount of time.

What is your opinion on ………..

Haven't seen heroes so i look forward to a smug photo lambasting me for even daring to look at this thread and be so off topic ,,,, but i wanna fight, so fucking come on then.........

REGARDING LOST!

Lost i quite enjoyed but one cunt really pissed me off(apart from the ridiculously pretentious 'Desmond' . When has anyone heard a scot talk like that? calling everyone "brother" like some kind of fucking monk. bastard)
Now I wanna talk about Jack (the doctor). This guy is such a wanker and should have been first to die , yes he's a doctor and slightly useful at administering drugs but what a pretentious, tatooed, moisturising, egotist prick! A docter with tatoos!!!! wow , how "rad". But what really pisses me off is the whole JACK/CAPTAIN KIRK archetype. Every bloody episode of star trek was the same, find a mysterious planet, often via a 'mayday' signal, Spock the guy who is ALWAYS right says "Too dangerous , could be a trap, Don't go down to the planets surface Jim".
Kirk of course then decides "Were going down to the planets surface, scotty......." :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
Kirk knows he's going to fuck it up again as he always gets Spock to "stay here, you're in command" (Just like he is always REALLY in command kirk you stupid prick. ) They beam down, kirk is tricked into fucking some beautiful woman that is really a gelatinous alien lifeform in disguise (hold it together now people), they all get imprisoned and SPOCK has to come and bail them out and Kirk the dickhead never even gets investigated by starfleet for being an uncontrollable fool and probably an alcoholic to boot!!!
Jack from LOST is the SAME . Exactly the same character, a beta male who tried to change his B grade to an A by slight of hand with a degree and a couple of tacky transfers from a packet of Bazooka joe! So he doesn't tell Sawyer, Kate, fat guy, all the best characters that he is leading them into a trap, just because he wants to be a leader. cunt! What about the time when he burned up the end of sawyer's manuscript? The only book on the fuckin island, something everyone could have had a turn reading. Wanker! I would have cut his fuckin legs off((that way he is still useful as a surgeon and can still perform his primary function of UTTER WANKER)
Having said that i havent seen lost for a year or so now, just cant bear the adverts , its just totally insulting.

You are quite possibly more wrong about Jack than anyone has ever been about anything in their entire lives.
