And I'm not even talking about Gulfstream Gore. I'm talking about this!

More "Do as we say, not as we do" liberalism?

What Would Jesus Do With John Edwards' Mansion?

But the candidate doesn't believe Americans are doing a good job of living like Jesus. Edwards — who has drawn fire from some for his new $6 million, 28,000 square-foot mansion in North Carolina — says, "I think that Jesus would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of those around us who are suffering and our focus on our own selfish short-term needs. I think he would be appalled, actually."

Let's examine that; "Jesus" would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of "THOSE AROUND US".

Does this include FENCING your property so that "those around you" can't gain access to your golden palace? LMAO.

28,000 square foot mansion!

More "Do as we say, not as we do" liberalism. I wonder if Jesus is 'Disappointed' by Gulfstream Gore for not shuttling the homeless around in his private jet.

To quote a great blogger;

One thing I have not ever understood about socialism in America, the people who want to re-distribute wealth the most are the wealthiest. I would think that was noble on their part except they don’t seem to ever be thinking of re-distributing their own wealth.

They just want you and me to pay more to help alleviated poverty. I guess their contribution is in telling us how much we are obligated to give to other people.

Mush like Algore, edwards is nothing more than a hypocrite.

Syracuse University professor Arthur C. Brooks. The child of academics, raised in a liberal household and educated in the liberal arts, Brooks has written a book that concludes religious conservatives donate far more money than secular liberals to all sorts of charitable activities, irrespective of income.

In the book, he cites extensive data analysis to demonstrate that values advocated by conservatives -- from church attendance and two-parent families to the Protestant work ethic and a distaste for government-funded social services -- make conservatives more generous than liberals.

When it comes to helping the needy, Brooks writes: "For too long, liberals have been claiming they are the most virtuous members of American society. Although they usually give less to charity, they have nevertheless lambasted conservatives for their callousness in the face of social injustice."
