I don't know know much about this network or the show itself, but it's good that programmes like this can make an effort to raise awareness the right way. What do the girls think?

nice that they found a couple of "corporate" types
for the show. it shows to "middle america" that
TG people can have responsible "normal" lives.

I suppose it helps. It's a mainstream programme and most people wouldn't be impressed seeing TG models and porn stars (well a great many men would, I suppose). Most people don't realise the difficulties transgendered people face and can't see that escorting or modelling are often done out of neccessity.

I do not think that escorting or modelling are wrong, but many people do. Yet there are many transgendered people with what most people would consider to be "respectable" jobs leading what the majority of the population would regard as "normal" lives: educators, doctors, scientists, artists and so on. We just don't get to see them that often. I think a TV appearance like this can only do good for all transgendered people out there.

Great post.

Diego Sanchez the transman being interviewed is a great guy,
and an asset to the transocommunity. The transwoman with him
I had not seen until this program.

NECN, is New England Cable News.

Overall I found the interviw very good. I do wish the interviewer had
prepared himself more adequately and thus asked more informed
questions. He also seemed a little hyper, as if he had too many cups
of coffee.

Those are trivial considerations of course, as the subject matters that
were covered I'm sure will be insightful to the layperson.

And for those who hadn't heard, it's offiical THE TRANSREVOLUTION HAS
BEGUN.

Are you going to be part of the solution, or part of the problem?
