View Full Version : Using the same Username on HungAngels as you do elsewhere...

is not smart if you DON'T want people to know that you're "into" trannsexuals. This is common sense but seeing as how common sense isn't common, I had to make this post.

Also if you use the same name on HungAngels as you do on another site, and other people find it when using Google - you have no one to blame but yourself.

In cases where this has happened, We've usually worked to help people out (changing screenames, etc). However if you approach us as a big dick, you're getting dick.

Also the Better Business Bureau has no power over HungAngels. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

I have a million pm's to answer and I would like to apologize to anyone who attempted to contact me as I've had to deal with a certain wanker (as seanchai would say) .

Have a great weekend and keep making this a great place.

Yeah I had the same guy contact me on a forum I run. He googled his username and it came up with two shemale forums which he'd wrote on as well as his bible class (joke).
We can remove the name from the system but not everytime it's been used - as when you're quoted it would be as message text.

I was wondering what was going to happen when he contacted HA - as he was a bit of a wanker when he was last on this forum ... although mostly behaved on the other forum.

Who in their right mind would want to do something like that if they don't want to be found out? *points to his own username* Jeez, the lack of common logic in this world seriously frightens me sometimes.

Bigguy
03-03-2007, 06:11 AM
I googled "Bigguy" and hungangels came up as result 779. Oh no, I'm doomed, my wife will find out...

Oh wait, she knows already...

Anyway, if someone really has a unique name and Google finds it on a page, it will mostly likely list it and hold onto it for a long time, well after the name is removed or changed.

Well, half of my business associates are in the same line of work, half of my friends are in one way or another aware of my interest (especially since a great many of my friends are TS or in some way associated), and my wife knows and approves, so I'm not too worried. My Bush-supporting brother-in-law would freak, but who cares?

Fox
03-03-2007, 07:12 AM
I go by "Fox the Sly" everywhere else, but I couldn't give two quirts of piss if someone connected the dots (which is why I don't care if my pic is in my avatar). Plus, "Fox" is too ambiguous to really turn up anything relevant on Google, lol (though that's not why I left off "the Sly").

I heard about this kinda thing happening on other sites/forums and I can't figure out why people are so short-sighted, but that's people, I guess.

Also, why does admiring tgirls have to be a shady little secret? :(

all jokes aside this is really stupid
I hang out on a few forums and use a username specific for that forum

JWBL was created ONLY for HA, kind of my way of being loyal to the forum..................

this is kind of like those older relatives that always ask the younger folks for pc support and then confess they use the same PW for everything: AOL, forums, email, bank accounts, etc. and then wonder why they have probs

For the most part, I have used the same username on all TS forums (but not on any other forums--those dots needn't be connected). On Vicki's I'm Ecstatic One (Ecstatic was taken but afaik unused), and for personal reasons which she knows (one of which doesn't matter anymore and the other of which is a fetish joke), I'm teabagger on Harajuku's forum. I like the fact that people know who I am from board to board (well, most of the time....)

I must admit, this isn't the smartest post. Anyone who uses a different username isn't gonna come out and say that "this is the user name when i talk about my deepest desires for TS, TV etc, and this is my user name when I post on the blonde bimbo sight!!!" As for whether I use the same name from one site to another, NO!!! No one I know outside the bedroom knows I enjoy the look, feel and view of transexuals!!! This post is so outrageous that I had to comment..... sorry to everyone else

Obviously, "Willie Escalade" isn't my real name. But I do use my real name on my Myspace page...with pictures no less. If someone notices a transsexual there, I'll have to answer some questions. I'm not worried though.

Not again?

Heh. Those that know have seen me on other forums under my B1 screenname and I did once try to google me (Both by that screen name and by my own name). The B1 name had more hits as characters from gaming boards and my own name came up with the surprising fact that I am buried in a local veteran's cemetary.

The only forums I really participate in are all T related, so it makes it easier to just be me on all of them.

Having read the bit above where some people use the same passwords for everything, I am reminded of the old Dilbert strip where the pointy-haired boss complains to Dilbert that he keeps forgetting his password. Dibert suggests "Make it something easy to remember, like eight asterisks".

My password: ********

Seeing as how my user name is a Zeppelin song, results from a search for it won't show hungangels for a long way down the line.

Just for funzies, I Googled me. :D

Saw the expected gaming links. Then a series of Mormon singles ads. First link to the real me was via another forum. Then I found a not me at The Erotic Review and another not me on an adult entdertainment forum wondering if his wife suspects that he's stepping out on her (Couldn't be me as I am not married and the one known as "The Wife" steps out far more often than I do  ).

Hung Angels shows up on Page Sixteen with this very thread referenced on Page Eighteen just above a domain list wherein BeardedOne preceeds BeardedOyster in the list.

Then I Googled my email and found a single link that I'd made to a car parts board about ten years ago. Then I saw a cool car for sale that I can't afford and now I feel bad.

This is the first to think about when you register here. It should be logical to check out if your nick here is different from any other on every forum you visit. I visit 4 forums and have 4 different nicknames but if they were the same, you´d never find me because you´d get on some police page or news after typing my nick in google. :)

I actually use this same name, my name, on pretty
much every site I have membership on. Luckily
I have no fear of anyone finding out who I am or
where I go on the net.

Yeah, that's almost as dumb as using your work issued lap top computer to surf shemale porn knowing that even if you get one of those "washer" programs it seldom deletes all traces of your internet activity.

If any of you guys DO know of a program that washes all traces of internet activity it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

my names generally come from my current state of mind. Don't really care what can be traced back to me considering I don't really do anything I'm ashamed of. Unless you count actually enjoying a Fallout Boy song...thats pretty much it haha. On the day I picked this name I was watching South Park. I'm super serial!

I googled myself and found a post I made on some dragonball z site when I was 12 lmao...

I use the same screen name everywhere. I'm... JustaTransGirl.

And my real, legal name is Jamie.

I like it. It's easy to remember. And it's not like I'm in hiding.

But I understand why others might need more privacy.

Good choice. All depends upon what one means by "washing all traces" of data from a hard drive. What most don't realize is that when you erase a file on your computer, the actual data in the file is not overwritten. (Heh, for that matter, far too many people simply delete by sending to the recycle bin, which is virtually useless.) The space utilized by that file is simply marked as "free" for use by other data.

So people are advised to write over data is written in that space, so that the original data becomes unrecoverable -- but only by most people. Due to the nature of the magnetic media that stores 0's and 1's (binary data)--for which the Nobel Prize in Physics was just awarded to 2007 Albert Fert and Peter Grünberg "for the discovery of giant magnetoresistance" in 1988 which made modern data storage possible--it is possible with specialized, highly sensitive equipment to recover data even after it has been written over several times. (Effectively, an "echo" of previous data remains after overwriting the spot.)

The gold standard for securely and completely removing data incorporates overwriting and degauzing eight times, writing over the same physical spot on the hard disk with different patterns, effectively obliterating the magnetic signatures of the data which was once there.

The DoD has a data destruction matrix:

US Department of Defense 5220.22-M Clearing and Sanitization Matrix

a. Degauss with a Type I degausser

b. Degauss with a Type II degausser.

c. Overwrite all addressable locations with a single character.

d. Overwrite all addressable locations with a character, its complement, then a random character and verify. THIS METHOD IS NOT APPROVED FOR SANITIZING MEDIA THAT CONTAINS TOP SECRET INFORMATION.

e. Overwrite all addressable locations with a character, its complement, then a random character.

f. Each overwrite must reside in memory for a period longer than the classified data resided.

g. Remove all power to include battery power.

h. Overwrite all locations with a random pattern, all locations with binary zeros, all locations with binary ones.

i. Perform a full chip erase as per manufacturer's data sheets.

j. Perform i above, then c above, a total of three times.

k. Perform an ultraviolet erase according to manufacturer's recommendation.

l. Perform k above, but increase time by a factor of three.

m. Destroy - Disintegrate, incinerate, pulverize, shred, or melt.

n. Destruction required only if classified information is contained.

o. Run five pages of unclassified text (font test acceptable).

p. Ribbons must be destroyed. Platens must be cleaned.

q. Inspect and/or test screen surface for evidence of burned-in information. If present, the cathode ray tube must be destroyed.

I like option m: that's pretty secure, lol.
