Firstly, please forgive me if this is the wrong section in which to place this request.

I have an Avatar which I'd like to use on my posts .. but am having great difficulty in uploading it to the site. The Avatar is a "normal" picture & not in the least offensive.

I wondered whether anyone might just be kind enough to explain (in simple terms) how to do this .. or possibly even to do it for me ?

I placed this request in the "Service" section a few days ago but so far have had no response (I presume no one goes there very often).

Oh BTW,I've changed my e-mail address & added my Yahoo Messenger address to my profile too .. in the hope that it will make contacting me (should anyone wish to) that much easier.

Many thanks in anticipation of some kind soul coming to the rescue of this self-confessed computer "biff" ...

Bye for now,

Poacher.

Hi lust4ts .. and thanks for the advice.

I've tried doing as you suggested .. but the dialogue box displayed when I "right click" on the image won't allow me to cut & paste the URL.

I'm obviously doing something wrong,if it worked for you ... never mind,I'll manage without an Avatar for now.

Thanks again,

Bye for now,

Poacher.

There is a thread by Spedius going on about avatars. If you go to that, post a reply attaching your avatar, you can then look at your reply, see avatar, right click "copy image location" then head to your profile and paste it into avatar location. This will work.
