I had to have been around 19 when I first saw this picture. It said to me wow a transsexual can be a scientist and not look like hell (since most every TS scientist I knew of did).

Shouldn't be surprising. For like myself though she did turn away from transition at about 21 she did turn back. Once you take that estrogen for a while it alters your bones, once you ring that bell it cannot be unrung.

I do not agree with all her views and such. She's still my main hero.

Ahh yes Miriam. The living reason that no U.K. based scientist, who knows what's up, can look at me and not giggle or smile a bit about it. I can't say she was an inspiration to me. But I do admier her guts. Sorta met her twice in a bar in chicago. Didn't realize who she was right then, just a person looking at me funny from the other end of the bar. Second time, same bar, she came over to where I was sitting turned to me as if she was going to say something. With in an arm length of her face to face. No words came from either of us. Then she turned away. Very wierd eh. I have been understandably reluctant to tell that story.

My second biggest inspiration would have to be Jenny Hilodaki of greece. There was a time when I was younger that I really wanted to be like her.

i admire these ladies: Allanah Starr, Gia Darling, Naomi Xtravanganza, Monica Foxx, Miriam Xtravaganza, and Harisu of course! and a whole lot more... because of what they are now... what they have achieved... what they have contributed and done to the TS Community! Fabulous! Amazing and beautiful women that i wanted to be like in the future.
