There are a lot of rumors that I use drugs or am a coke head- quite frankly I have never tried pot, or coke, or x- or any drug other than alcohol for recreational purposes.

I'm got a goody goody about it- just was not for me. And I had it in MY face constantly when I was a young adult.

SO- only alcohol. cigarettes on occasion, and yeah sleep aids, to sleep.

I used to take exctasy and/or coke on most weekends and recently gave up the smoke about 5 months ago and have not touched it since, although I enjoyed alot of the times being mashed with my mates I feel 100 times better for stopping all that shit. But I have lost alot of my old friends (mostly the ones I met clubbing) as I realised without the drug culture we realy did not have that much in common. But I feel I can now safely say that I will never use recreational drugs again.

Tryed hashish sometimes when I was young...Then I had a period when I often booze my head off. I was never a alcoholic but was close.
I still use alcohol but take it more easy..Some whisky sometimes or a couple of beers But I never drink so I get drunk.

lol, seriously I take pride in saying I've never done an "illegal drug" of any kind (after all that is what the OP meant, isn't it?)

sure I've been put under for surgery, sure I've drank alcoholic beverages, and sure I've smelled marijuana being smoked nearby at Madison Square Garden during a Knicks, St. Johns, etc. ball game but I've never done any personally

I never tried coke, just such a bad scene, people say its the EGO drug, one guy once told me "Cocaine is the indians revenge on the white man" and I thought yeah it is. Maybe someone can verify this but i don't think the coca growers use powder, they strictly chew the leaves. The amount of petrol based chemicals and acids used to make coke should put anyone off. I hate the stuff. I haven't drunk alcohol in years, doesn't agree with me physically or mentally, just feels toxic to me. The thing most people forget is that we drug ourselves pretty much all day long with caffiene, refined sugar, nicotine, etc. We are composed of chemicals and electrical impulses - literally, everything we experience or do is causing and caused by chemical reactions
within our cells. Getting a bit absract I know, but the point is that all actions we take (doing drugs, having sex, looking at porn, sports) are done so to trigger a release of chemicals in our brain. When I look at porn I am doing so for the "hit" it gives me. If I'm feeling blue I look at something I find beautiful and I feel better, immediately, probably because my brain is hard wired to send a generous shot of endorphines and dopamines when I see a sexy woman. My brain does this in the hope that the chemical "hit" will aid my chances of propagating my DNA with this womans genetic material. The brain offers a "hit" or "reward" in the hope that you will do the "work" of perpetuating your genetic code. We only enjoy sex because our individual DNA matrix allows us to. Now, here it starts making sense....... when I look at porn I TRICK my DNA programming into giving me the drugs(serotonin,endorphines,whatever) up front without ever giving the selfish genes what they want (babies).
Its a trick because I'm obviously NEVER going to reproduce with the TGirls I find attractive yet I still feel the overwhelming animal lust, and it feels good! Could go on but should really start a new thread to argue this out .

And yes, porn IS addictive, but so are computer games, television, even being nice to people give us a "hit", try it

The indigenous people of the mountainous regions of South America have used the coca leave for centuries.

It is imbibed as a tea, or the leaves may be chewed.

While in Peru in the Andes, I drank some to stave off the effects of altitude sickness. I found I to have very mild stimulant effects, not even as strong as a cup of coffee, wth none of the narcotic effects of processed cocaine.

It is also used by the natives to quell hunger.

Holy cow. I never thought it would get so many posts.

I also have honestly never done any drugs. I have never even been drunk. Just a few beers here and there. But I am not a goody goody either. I just never enjoyed the taste of alcohol, and I promised my dad I would never do drugs when I was young. His best friends son lost his life to drugs.

Congrats to those who have ever had a problem and fixed it. I am happy for you and proud of you.

I've seen too many people around me growing up lose their lives to drugs, alot of folks I went to school with or went through training with lost their way, I knew that shit wasn't for me before them, but after seeing the effect that shit has on people I knew, I was absolutely sure it wasn't for me

I have to break my answer up into the past, and the present....

The Past (High School and College): Alcohol, Pot/Hash, Mescaline, Acid, Valium, Quaaludes, Xanax (English equivalent to Quaaludes), PCP, Mushrooms, Coke, Opium.

Present: Pot/Hash, Alcohol, Mushrooms (very rarely, but lot's of fun)

I'll never quit pot, I actually prefer it to alcohol. In fact, my wife and I smoke pot pretty much every night after our kid's in bed, but I only drink now and then.

Aside from over the counter/prescrition pain relivers or cold remedies, my drug intake now is limited to only natural drugs. That's why I like mushrooms now and then (though it's been many years since I last partook)
