I can't be the only one curious about this. What's it like dealing with your family, old friends and acquaintances who know? Especially in the TS Field (I decided to write this after Buddy Wood posted and I got to thinking.)

I mean...do most of these people in the normal world, whatever that is, who actually recognize you or just know treat you well, or like the black sheep?

Do homophobes give the guys shit? Are your teenaged cousins staring at you openmouthed at Thanksgiving?

I'm glad I got you to think Suckseed - even if it is about the private lives of porn stars. I'll tell you this - as somebody that makes porn - one of my favorite things is meeting new people and telling them exactly what I do for a living and who I do it with. You cannot believe the wide range of reactions that I get. From absolute awe and admiration to complete disgust. Most people become legitimately interested though and want to know more. Now I can choose to hide it from those that I want to and I do from some - but overall most people in my life know what I do.

I used to want to be a psychologist when I first went to college. Obviously that didn't pan out - but there's no better way of getting inside of someone's head and quickly assessing their sexual prejudices than telling them that you make transsexual porn. It's fun.

Thanks, man. I'm not saying I'd want to do it, but I think that on many levels it's pretty gutsy. I don't know what somebody could do that would demonstrate more how little they give a shit what other people think! I 'accidentally' made a porn movie once with a fan of the band - the bass player snuck a camera into the bunk of our bus where i was going to town, and by the time we finished and came out to the front lounge all the band and crew and her friends were watching it and hooting and hollering. It was funny but also really embarassing - for a while there he'd zoomed in on the tackle and, well, nothing was left to the imagination I'm a pretty private guy, so this was an adjustment! And this was just with a cute female.

Howdy Buddy!

I do have a question for you: have you ever encountered anyone who has publicly and vociferously condemned you for what you do for a living (such as right-wing politicians or preachers) and then you found out somehow that those very same people are among your biggest customers?

But I look forward to meeting any and all politicians that are into my work.

If I tell somebody what I do it's usually at a bar or some social setting. Mostly I just say I'm an editor. But maybe a girl I've been talking to for a bit. TG or GG. I tell them and they react. Straight guys I usually give a big warning to first and I either know them well or I'm drunk. Most react well - some admit their own interests - some seem VERY intrigued and want to see my work. And gay men tend to always accept it and usually like me even more after I tell them.

This appeals very much to me. :)

I once told an interviewer that: "I used to be a director of porn movies...do you like porn?"

The interviewer said:

"Of course I like Porn, I don't trust a man who say he doesn't."

The interviewer was a partner in a large national law firm.
