This is indeed a nice gesture. However, the maximum donation was capped at $100,000 and was reached some time ago.

There was no reason to change the thread. There's always the outside chance that if an overwhelming number of people continued to visit their site, Bristol Myers may have kicked in more money. Then again, cynics may say that the whole thing was just to promote their anti-HIV drug Reyataz.
