That's me. Can the group provide me with SIMPLE TO FOLLOW directions to include images in a post? I've read the FAQ's, and still don't have the foggiest idea of what to do. I"m 100% self-taught, and old enough that this stuff does'nt come easily. Hope y'all can help this non-techie.

you upload your image to a webserver - perhaps your isp webserver (using ftp), somewhere from which anyone can access the image with a url similar to http://www.mychosenwebserver.com/myimage.jpg

in the message that you post to the forum you type the url for the image captioned by and leaving no spaces. like below but WITHOUT THE ()

()http://www.mychosenwebserver.com/myimage.jpg()

its easy :)

I don't know what the hell Matt is talking about.

But if you see an image you like online you RIGHT CLICK on the image and SAVE IMAGE AS. Save to your desktop.

Now on Hungangels post, type in what you want, then under FILENAME hit the BROWSE button, select the jpeg icon, press OPEN.

Hit submit when your done and you are good.

ArmaniXXX,

It is the technique described in this forum FAQ section and is a common method of displaying images in webforums.

From the FAQ.

"Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).
