Who makes the best fries -Burger King, not McDonalds.

Who owns Burger King? CANADIANS.

Deal with it, America.

Well Canada's a big country. They should be better than the USA in at least one thing. Apparently now they're better than the US in two things - hockey & fast food french fries. Congrats Canada.

Earth certainly has to deal with America's over-consumption. Now there is a real thing, America should deal with.

Burger King is owned by Tim Horton’s but it’s a US legal entity. Therefore, it’s not a Canadian company!

According to Wikipedia, both are owned by a holding company incorporated in Canada (apparently for tax reasons), although the BK HQ is still in the US.

However, 51% of this holding company is owned by 3G Capital, which is a Brazilian private equity firm. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3G_Capital

So is it American, Canadian or Brazilian? Or is nationality a moot point for a multi-national corporation.

I don't know. Micky D's fries are good. I always love them. Burger King's food overall, sucks, at least here in New York. I'll try the fries again but they seemed very special.

The more relevant point is, given that the Germans love potato so much, why are their fries rubbish? Wherever you go, from MacDonalds to Burger King to KFC they are tasteless. I once suggested to a German friend that we put some butter on the potatoes to give them some flavour, and he was puzzled. No idea what they do in Brazil.

A truly good combo -the Weinachtsmarkt in Frankfurt does some good potato pancakes, in that they are edible, even without the apple sauce though it makes it.

Poutine is beyond disgusting. No surprise it came from Quebec. Compare that revolting, disgusting splodge of inedible mess with the Maple syrup from Wheeler's Farm in Ontario. Canadians do some things right.

Brazilian 3G Capital also owns a major stake of Budweiser.

Woodpeckers can and do poke holes in trees right, which, along with the arcane knowledge that hot liquids boil, is the sum total of the skillset needed to produce good maple syrup. Poutine is an art. The hue, for example, is based on which ingredients are used in which amounts, and not how much bacteria you allowed to cozy up into your sap over the course of the season.

Don't forget Canadians are better at portion control. Better beer where it doesn't take you half a dozen to feel a buzz. Healthcare which helps in the highest standard of living. Canadians actually look at both sides to a government without bias, granted our current leader is a fucking idiot - proven. Less guns. Parts of it are warmer than 25% of the U.S. Just a lesson since Americans think Canada is constantly under snow. Home of the best power trio in music history - RUSH. The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is better. A third of the world's fresh water, as such making their cottage country the most picturesque. Air quality is in the top three in the world. I could go on but I have work to do.

I bought a bag of frozen shoestring fries at the market. Later, I baked them in the oven and tossed salt on top. I was really impressed. They were better than some of the fries I've gotten from places that claim to serve good fries. Ha! Ha!

I have an air fryer. It makes any fries taste amazing! I recommend it!

I swear by mine, and it's good to see that North Americans have finally latched on to the concept to the point where convection is becoming a standard oven option here. It's amazing the difference an even cook can make.
