There is a phenomena known as the phantom limb syndrome. This is
where a person has lost a body part, but there is still the sensation that
an amputated or missing limb is still attached to the body and is moving
appropriately with other body parts.

It has been reported that some post operative transsexuals have
experienced this reaction. In those instances it may be that the
transwoman was not an appropriate candidate for SRS.

For me there was never much pleasure with my penis, it was a source of
extreme angst.

Further, it is not as if I truly have lost my penis but rather have had it
converted into a more usable state. With SRS, the penile tissue has
been turned inside out, much like the fingers of a glove to form the lining
of my vagina.

The scrotal tissue has become the labia minora / majora. And the tip of
the penis has been used to form the clitoris.
