Mission Accomploished, shrubya!

2,752

Scott Burns

On 9/11/01 a group of twisted and misguided men crashed airplanes into buildings and an empty field. Their demented world view cost 2,752 innocent Americans their lives and did billions of dollars of damage to the economy. The actions of these men has unleashed boundless hatred direct toward their fellow Arabs and their religion from around the world.

Their reasons and complaints are rendered invalid by their brutality. What they did lies beyond forgiveness-- and all that is left is for history to rate their atrocities.

On 03/19/03, the Bush administration crashed America's laws, good name and economy into Baghdad. On an otherwise unremarkable day last week, the death toll in Iraq for men and women in the US military hit 2,752 and kept going -- surpassing the number of people killed on 9/11. So, now there finally is the long sought after connection between 9/11 and the war in Iraq; they are linked by pointless and family-shattering death in the name of brutal and ignorant policy.

But the connections don't end there. The actions of our administration have done billions of dollars more damage to the US economy and have spread hatred toward our countrymen throughout a world that woke up on 9/12 with an outpouring of sympathy toward America. Our reasons and intentions are rendered invalid by the perversity of torture and the hubris of occupation. And the perpetrators of these atrocities -- although shielded from the World Court -- will find no such protection from history.

I'm not surprised. You are a stooge and a shill for the cowardly neo-con chickenhawks who engineered this fiasco, always avoiding accountability.
