Welcome to the forum! I agree with your assessment that not all transexuals are "women trapped inside a man's body" aka Primary transexual.

And that some are just gay men who've crossed over to be TG's. I personally known a few "guys" whom Ive spoke to years ago as men and now living as TG's (Some were even into transexuals sexually so they can know better i.e. get a "hands on" approach how to go abouts/proceed transforming themselves). What is really scary is the level of intelligence and sophistication of some people. Have you no clue as to how intolerant and narrow minded you are? You have no idea as to the mindset of any of the ladies as to why they transitioned, nor should it really matter. I would assume that attraction to men and identifying oneself with a more feminine lifestyle are huge considerations for a large percentage of these girls. As someone else stated, their ability to make a living off of their transition also plays in to some of their decisions. If I were you I would hook up each girl you considered being with to a lie detector prior to consummating and ask them their true reasons for transitioning in to what they are today. Otherwise, try not to be so judgmental and ignorant.

You seem to be an intelligent attractive guy, so I'm surprised you are not finding more admirers. I thought that in the gay community there was a segment of guys who liked "twinks," but I guess it's not working for you.

One thing that seems to have gotten certain people in a twit here is that these boards are really focused on transsexuals and transsexual admirers -- that is, the classic woman born in a man's body. I had many fascinating conversations with an ex, who explained that even as a very little kid, she identified as a girl. If they were playing house, she could not understand why she was not supposed to be the mommy rather than the daddy. You don't fit that description.

The description you do fit is transvestite. Harrys Boy has given you the best advice so far. I think you should try being a transvestite, rather than a transsexual. It's certainly easier, less expensive and less permanent. From my experience, transvestites are effeminate gay men who dress as women ocassionally or even often and they prefer to attract nominally straight men. But they don't think of themselves as women at all. From my experience, they also like the power of feeling that they can seduce a straightish man.

I had a gay friend a lot like you who was short and slim and looked like a not particularly attractive gay man, but good gosh could he "scrub up" into a fantastically beautiful woman -- and you are a lot more naturally attractive than he was.

The parties that are advertised here are mostly transsexual parties, but in NYC there are (or at least used to be) also parties that cater to a more diverse t-friendly crowd of transsexuals, transvestites and crossdressers, like Ina's Silver Swan parties.

Trust me, there is a big community of straightish men who fall all over themselves after transvestites.

If you are going to go the transvestite route, two pieces of advice: First. be very careful to be upfront about what you are so as not to get dumped on or even beat up by some of the self-loathing types who jumped on you here. And second, lose the beard.

There are a couple of gurls on here that are in a similar limbo as you in the view of many of the membership here. Tara is one, Jamie another, just to name a couple. Both are cool, easy on the eyes, and thick-skinned enough to deal with the haters and/or uncouthe (Did I spell that right?).

There are also some TG gurls who may lean more to the male/masculine side of the spectrum, but who are no less 'differently gendered'.

Personally, I think you look great in boi mode and might make quite the TS/TG if that's the route you take. I just think you're a bit askew in the men-will-like-me-more-if-I-install-tits-and-hack-off-my-dick mentality. That, to me, is a self-esteem problem which can be caused as much by outside sources as those within.

I just wanted to say the advice that Nautica gave...she is someone you should listen to. I had the extreme pleasure of being with Nautica about a year ago...and would have many more times had my schedule and finances allowed me to do so...she is the complete woman. I was new to the transgendered scene and she made me feel completely at ease. She is a total GFE experience. It was my first time as a bottom and she took her time and was very patient, and made me feel as if I was the only man in the world. We then laid there and talked for a long while and she seemed like she actually cared. She is definetly the relationship kinda lady. So any advice she gives trust me comes straight from experience and the heart. I would not be ashamed to be see anywhere, anyplace at anytime with this special woman.
