The crime was committed in 2017, and the two men arrested in Bangkok. Could it be because she had been in negotiations which went sour and was pissed off with the man whom she then followed into the hotel?

Yes those 2 criminals murdered a person and deserve life in prison without any possibility of parole but as I explained above criminals come in all different forms, it is not only a man who murders, who rapes, who commits robbery, it goes way beyond this.
