Hello all.

I wanted to know if anybody has a clue as to when we could mix semen to make a child.

Basically, If I have a ts wife, and her and I mix our semen with the help of fertility doctors and they cross the dna somehow and we have a child.

Any ideas when this could be a a reality?

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. The child will either be yours and the mother's or your wife' and the mother's. It won't be a hybrid of you and your wife and the mother.

While his wording was a bit out there, it’s actually getting closer to being possible. http://www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/uk-allows-ivf-using-dna-three-parents/

But this isn't what the OP has in mind. I'm guessing what he really wants is a donor egg whose DNA (23 chromosomes) has been replaced with that of his trans mate.

It is possible in some circumstances, it all depends on the stage in the transition the couple have reached:

Question: I’m going to transition, what are my options to have genetic children in the future.
Answer: According to Pang, have a conversation with your physician and let them know you’d like to freeze your eggs (http://www.fertilityauthority.com/your-fertility/egg-freezing/freezing-your-eggs-who-and-why) or freeze your sperm before you undergo any type of treatment – surgery or hormonal – that may render you incapable of producing sperm or eggs in the future.

A man who has transitioned to a woman and has banked sperm can use the sperm with IUI (http://www.fertilityauthority.com/fertilitytopic/iui) if she is in a relationship with a woman. If she is in a relationship with a man or is single, she can use an egg donor (http://www.fertilityauthority.com/fertilitytopic/egg-donation) and a gestational carrier (http://www.fertilityauthority.com/fertilitytopic/surrogacy-and-gestational-care).
A woman who has transitioned to a man and has frozen eggs can use donor or partner sperm and a gestational carrier if he is single or in a relationship with a man. If he is in a relationship with a woman, they can undergo reciprocal IVF, whereby the partner is inseminated with an embryo created by donor sperm and the frozen eggs.

I'm guessing what he means is when they mix semen they do it so they don't know whos semen actually fertilised the egg. Although this could become clear later in life when the child starts looking like the mother or father.

No, the OP mentioned crossing the DNA, which I don't think it is possible. They could mix up semen, but only one cell would fertilize an egg and if mixed, which person's it was, would not be known until after birth through DNA testing.

i'm pretty sure i saw this in a movie once - gene splicing <shudders> - it didn't end well.

Lol this is like a paragraph away from being one of those bad "magic" TS stories.

Excerpt from the next entry: After my wife drank the potion she grew a penis and was instantly horny. I never fooled around with guys before but I deepthroated her huge cock to lube it for my eager hole.

Guys, what's going on here?

Here's a better idea that will work with today's science......If there is a divorce (god forbid =pun intended) , You don't spend a million on a custody dispute......

I don't think he's talking about two eggs. I think he wants a child that has the DNA of him and his TS wife.

You did not read my post # 12 (=3 posts before yours) = It was already explained in the first link. That science has not yet been perfected and wont be available for some time to come .... the two egg long-shot is about as close as you will get using the technology of today.

One study estimates that as many as 1 in 400 sets of fraternal twins is “bi-paternal."

It was called splice, and she was called dren then she transitioned to male

It may be theoretically possible to replace a donor eggs DNA with a sperm's DNA, but most MtF's who have been on HRT for more than a few months will be infertile, so as a practical matter it's infeasible in almost all cases unless sperm has been frozen at the outset of HRT.

This seems like a dead end to me.
