The kicker here is the price, though, with a four pack including a charger costing around $28. If they can last as long as the company says, these suckers will pay for themselves after just a few charges. They'll be available in late October.

Hell, that's cheap. I keep a spare set on the charger for the digicam and have been looking at one of those USB chargers for the wireless mouse that keeps crapping out when I'm on the road. With all of the pocket lights I have hanging around the house (Until the major development began a couple of years ago this town/village was at the bottom end of the grid and lost power on a daily basis), rechargables and long-life batteries are of great interest to me.
