Los Angeles, CA – Stockroom and Grooby are teaming up on July 11, 2015 to host a special “Trans Talk” panel at Stockroom University. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or through Stockroom’s retail boutique in Silverlake.

As the conversation around the transgender experience grows within today’s mainstream culture, Stockroom University is offering an unique opportunity to discuss these topics with a panel of Los Angeles’ most well-known trans advocates and adult performers. This event offers a lived experience education around pronouns, sexuality, labels in and out of the adult entertainment industry, and much more.

“I am so happy to be a part of this very important trans panel where I will discuss why I feel that sex work is a valid and empowering choice in the trans world,” said TEA 2013 Best FTM Performer Buck Angel. “We as sex workers get shamed from our own community and this needs to stop. The trans adult world creates everything from jobs to self esteem.”

As an icon of popular culture, Buck Angel’s message of empowerment through self-acceptance has struck a passionate chord across the world. He not only inspires people to think outside the box, but is also redefining gender while educating others on the fluidity of sexuality and identity politics. Angel is the recipient of the 2007 AVN Transsexual Performer of the Year and has received international recognition as a pioneer of an entire new genre and also for his advocacy work. Visit his website at BuckAngel.com.

Trans adult star Morgan Bailey added, “I’m looking forward to contributing to this growing conversation on trans topics. Excited to hear everyone’s questions!”

Morgan Bailey is a popular adult performer who has been the red carpet hostess at the TEAs for the past four years. She’s identified and presented as female since she was 17 and now proudly identifies as trans. Visit her official website at Morgan-Bailey.com.

“I’m excited to be a part of this amazing panel,” added TEA 2014 Voluptuous Diva winner Michelle Austin. “I think this will get more dialogue on the stigma around trans porn. With the uprise to change pronouns and labels in porn, I feel like my voice is needed. To be asked to sit alongside these trans individuals makes me proud. My 15+ years living authentic to myself as a trans woman and my five years in the business, I have a lot to say!”

Michelle Austin is an award winning performer, director, and producer. Since entering the adult industry, she hopes to change the way people look at body image. Affectionately known as the BBW transsexual of adult entertainment, she has created her own brand and continues to perform and produce content. She is the mastermind behind one of the most talked about transman DVDs, Trans Men Adventures. Visit her new website at FTM.XXX.

“It’s exciting to be involved in Stockroom University, especially to discuss topics I’m passionate about, like what it’s like to be trans and the adult industry,” said TEA 2015 Transcendence Award winner Tori Mayes. “Most of all, I’m honored to share that with amazing individuals who want to broaden their horizons.”

Tori Mayes strives to be a positive influence within the transgender community by educating fans as well as being a supportive and encouraging friend to people exploring and realizing their gender identity. As the first recipient of the TEA Transcendence award, she was recognized as an ambassador within the industry because of her professionalism and positive influence within the adult entertainment community.
